The gap personnel group are acting as an Employment Agency.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cost Estimator for our well established client reporting to the Sales Manager. The roles responsibilities and what you will be accountable for are detailed below.

Main Responsibilities

• Price individual RFQ’s and provide quotations by email direct to customers and/or internal personnel as required.

• Provide quotations within 24 hours of receipt unless extenuating circumstances exist

• e.g. technical queries, awaiting a supplier response.

• Accurately input new product specifications into the Company’s integrated manufacturing and management system. Add new customer details and amendments, make Technical engineering changes and add in information regarding times/materials/prices.

• Act as a point of contact for customers with quotation queries. • Follow up outstanding quotes with customers. • Maintain and update required records including material laminate costs and central quotation spreadsheets.

• Daily Contract Review Meetings - provide the required technical specification for each RFQ.

• Provide cover for the Sales Administrator when required - answering order queries, informing customer of any delivery issues. • Uphold company core values at all times.

• Any other tasks, in line with your skills and experiences, you may be instructed to carry out. Environmental Policy

• As well as the following, you will be expected to adhere to the company’s Environmental Policy. Daily Tasks

• Keep relevant documentation and systems up to date.

• Report to the Head of Operations and or the Area/Line Manager any problems that may arise, such as resource equipment/personnel or capacity issues, etc.

Requirements

• Essential that you are fully competent and have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Previous Costing/Pricing experience

• Good communication and IT skills

Salary: Up to £25,000 Dependant on Experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs
