Our client are seeking a Fundraising Officer who has the passion to inspire others to fundraise and volunteer in order to help them deliver their fundraising objectives and increase their income potential. Based at the headquarters in Gloucestershire (but with extensive travel) and reporting into the Fundraising Manager this role will suit an organised and personable person who is able to cope with multi-tasking across a range of fundraising income streams and geographical areas and who is used to working to targets. You will have the ability to be empathetic with our patients and supporters. Key Responsibilities • Provide a high level of service to both existing and new community funders including Rotary, Lions, Masonic Groups, other clubs, associations and educational organisations • Provide a high level of service to individuals fundraising on our behalf (sponsored activities, local events, collections etc) • Deliver talks and presentations within the community across a wide geographical area • Give support at community events • Manage our portfolio of volunteers • Liaise with our NHS partners when needed • Further develop our fundraising strategy in defined geographical areas • Record information and activity on charity database (Raisers Edge) • Provide regular reports on progress/activity against fundraising targets • Work with the Communications Manager to promote activities Work Location • Based at our Head Office in Tetbury, Gloucestershire • The duties of the post will require some weekend and evening working hours as part of this role • As the role requires frequent travel, so a clean, valid driving licence is essential • Use of a company pool car Current IT systems used at the Charity (experience desirable/essential as indicated): Microsoft Office (essential) Raisers Edge – data base (desirable) Personal Specification Skills and knowledge Requirement Essential / Desirable • Experience in either a fundraising or commercial income generation role. Desirable • Strong presentation/speaker and written communication skills Essential • Experience of making appropriate use of volunteers Desirable • Excellent relationship management skills Essential • Organisational and project management skills Essential • Experience of working to budgets and plans Essential • Experience of working as part of a team with a varied workload Essential • IT Skills including Microsoft office Essential • Ability to work independently under own initiative and cooperatively as part of a fundraising team Essential • Knowledge of fundraising law and practice Desirable • Ability to be the decision-maker and evaluate viability and cost effectiveness of opportunities Essential • Ability to manage multiple projects and operate effectively under pressure Essential • Ability to develop ideas and be creative Desirable • Excellent attention to detail Essential • Degree level or equivalent or experience Desirable • Flexibility and willingness to work unsocial hours during events Essential
